Hi Ho Hi Ho...Off To Weight Watchers We Go |
Trying out the peat and dike worker's traditional 'Clog Wellys' at the
"Coastal Museum" -a somewhat eclectic collection of different displays ranging from 'Dogger land' and "Living Rooms In The Course Of The Last Century" to 'Weird Stuff Sailors Have Brought Back' -very 'hands on' and great for kids.
The couple of skeletons of 'Hearth Buried' babies was a bit much but the museum also dealt well with the local portion of the Holocaust and not just the 1918 Revolution -which started just up the road and led to the abdication of the Kaiser.
After the Museum we called in at the free
Botanical Garden, where the most interesting thing was the Garden Cat which had, with usual feline good sense, found the best bed in the place. The Gardens themselves were in dire need of some man hours of gardening...and looked scruffy. Visitors toilets were nicely clean though and that covers a multitude of sins.
