Short Sunday Excursions

Took a drive to two local towns during a break in the rain clouds. "Varel" which is your fairly typical small North German town...lots of 'Jugend' style former poor people's houses that now command eye-bleed prices and pedestrian town centre. Germans being too lazy to work on Sundays the only shops open were the cafe's and kiosks (actually they, and garages, are the only shops allowed to open on Sundays by law).

BESTES FRAU & NEFF AT THE FAMOUS STATUE OF A "CHILD WATCHING ITS SINGLE MOM CUTTING COKE ON
A MIRROR TO MAKE ENDS MEET".....or something like that....

The other town was "Dangast" which is direct on the mudflats and North Sea. We walked down to the mud and back and the Bestes Frau and the Nephew had a Fish Roll outside...in the rain and wasps.
