Left CROMER 17:30 Arrived RASTEDE 12:30

Pretty uneventful journey.Took the A12 though cos a friend warned me that the A11 was bad.  Bit of a wait at the QE2 bridge but were still in Dover at 22:30 and had half an hours kip in the car while parked up in lane waiting to board the ferry. Got another 45 minutes kip on the ferry too. Took ages -nearly an hour for them to off load us all in Dunkerque though..the ferry was that packed.

Satanic Nav on my cellphone decided to confuse me on the first major roundabout in France and kept insisting I had taken the wrong exit and that I should U-turn. That aside though it did brilliantly except for a hiccup in Holland when it didn't want to accept that the A27 motorway Breda-Utrecht had been closed and thought we should double back and take it....several times. Finally I pulled over and told it to take us towards Nijmegen cos thanks to that road map I bought I could look at a 'whole' map of the area and not just a segment.

Road map was worth every single one of its 699 pennies or however much I paid for it! Once we got near Nijmegen I told the Sat Nat to take us to Rastede once more and then all was cool. Had to stop twice , once for an hour and once for 30 mins,during the night to sleep but that works well in the Audi as the seats go back all the way.
