Seems my ISP have now also implemented an IP block on the PIRATEBAY and not just a DNS one. *shakes head sadly* When I tried to access TPB a minute ago I got this (and I'm already using Google DNS)
So I just went to the UK mirror site and all was cool. *SNORK*
Now the chances are, after what happen to the Dutch mirror, that The Powers That Be will censor it soon too, so I just checked again with a simple proxy-of which there are millions online. Result was
So the Recording Industry has spent millions getting a court order and for what? Anyone computer 'savvy' enough to use torrents automatically knows how to circumvent any censorship...it kinda goes with the territory.
The phrase 'an exercise in futility' seems appropriate.
